Wizards forward Alize Johnson was recently compared to Lamar Jackson, and people on social media couldn’t un-see the likeness. Johnson responded on Twitter, with fellow NBA stars weighing in on the comparison.

The Washington Wizards were involved in yet another tight game on Monday, coming out on top against the Charlotte Hornets 124-121. Kyle Kuzma was the star of the show, finishing with 36 points, 14 rebounds, six assists and six threes.

The Wizards, who were narrowly beaten by the Bulls at the buzzer on Sunday, are now seventh in the Eastern Conference, and are 2-1 on their home stand as they prepare for the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night.

Wizards Alize Johnson trolled over similarity with Lamar Jackson

The Wizards, like many other teams, have struggled with covid, with several players – including Bradley Beal – recently entering health and safety protocols. Due to their short-handedness, the Wizards recently signed Alize Johnson to a 10-day contract.

Johnson played college basketball for the Missouri State Bears of the Missouri Valley Conference, and was selected with the 50th pick in the second round of the 2018 NBA draft by the Pacers. Despite being around the league, he’s not exactly a household name, and some fans were shocked at how much Alize Johnson looks like Lamar Jackson.

During the recent game against the Bulls, a fan posted a picture of Alize Johnson on the bench with the caption, “Lamar Jackson think he slick”, and it’s hard to deny the comparison to the Baltimore Ravens quarterback.

Johnson responds to the Lamar Jackson comparison

Alize caught wind of the tweet and replied on Twitter. He seemed to take the comparison in good faith, responding: ‘Can I live my life, I might have to go bald.’

Plenty of fans responded in the comments, including DeAndre Jordan who posted a series of laughing emojis.

Others think he looks like Jimmy Butler

Many people have also stated that they think Alize Johnson looks like fellow NBA player Jimmy Butler. Several forums have noticed the likeness, with one even creating a poll which said: ‘He looks like Jimmy and Lamar had a baby.’
