Along with NASCAR, Kristin Chenoweth has also sung The Star Spangled Banner at the New York Yankees 2010 home opener.

She also did it at Arizona Cardinals 2016 season-opener, and again against the Seattle Seahawks in 2017.

The race is currently scheduled to start shortly after 3pm Eastern Time.

That’s 1:00pm MST.

The national anthem traditionally takes place around half an hour before the race starts.

This means Chenoweth will be singing the national anthem at the NASCAR race at around 2:30pm ET.

Due to how the NASCAR season is structured, there are just four drivers remaining in contention for the title.

They are: reigning champion Chase Elliott, Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin and Martin Truex Jr.

The race will be a 312 lap affair around the 1-mile short oval.

Have any other celebrities been to NASCAR lately?

Kristin Chenoweth is not the only high-profile name to play a key role in a NASCAR race in recent times.

At the recent race on the Charlotte Motor Speedway road course in North Carolina, James Bond actor Daniel Craig was present.

He waved the green-flag as the cars came around.

The 2021 Cup season has also seen Michael Jordan and Pitbull join as team owners.

Jordan is a co-owner of 23XI Racing with Hamlin, with the team winning their first race with driver Bubba Wallace at Talladega.

Pitbull is part of the Trackhouse Racing operation with driver Daniel Suarez.

Their best result was fourth in the dirt race at Bristol in April.
