Meet the The Hundred’s presenters and commentators who will be broadcasting as part of Sky Sports and the BBC’s teams over the next month.
The Hundred is back for its second edition in 2022. For those who are new to it, The Hundred is a 100-ball cricket tournament involving eight men’s and eight women’s teams located in major cities across England and Wales.
It uses uses a draft system to build the teams and was invented to attract younger and more diverse crowds to watch cricket.
The competition got under way on 3 August and runs through to 3 September, when the finalists of the men’s and women’s tournaments will play at the home of cricket, Lord’s.
Where to watch The Hundred
All 60 games in The Hundred will be broadcast live on Sky Sports’ dedicated channel Sky Sports The Hundred and Sky Sports Mix.
All women’s matches and every men’s match taking place on Mondays and Thursdays will also be available live on the Sky Cricket YouTube channel.
The BBC will also show 18 games live, including both finals and the opening game on 3 August.
Every ball will also be broadcast live on BBC Radio 5 Live and 5 Sports Extra.
BBC commentators and presenters for The Hundred
England internationals Heather Knight, Moeen Ali, Chris Jordan, Mark Wood and Issy Wong will all be part of the BBC commentary teams throughout the tournament.
Another addition to the BBC Sport team is South Africa all-rounder Dane van Niekerk.
The rest of the BBC’s The Hundred commentators and presenters include Isa Guha, Michael Vaughan, Jimmy Anderson, Phil Tufnell, Carlos Brathwaite, Alison Mitchell, Henry Moeran and Aatif Nawaz.
Greg James and Felix White join Anderson on the Tailenders podcast for alternative coverage. Players Alex Hartley, Tymal Mills, Lauren Winfield Hill and Steven Finn have also given insight directly from the pitch.
Sky Sports’ The Hundred commentators and presenters
England’s former World Cup-winning captain Eoin Morgan joins the Sky Sports commentary team this year. He will also continue to play in The Hundred for London Spirit.
Other Sky Sports The Hundred commentators and presenters include Stuart Broad, Kevin Pietersen, Ebony Rainford-Brent and Daren Sammy as well as Sky regulars including Nasser Hussain and Ian Ward. Presenters include Kass Naidoo, Zainab Abbas and Jacqueline Shepherd.
