Meet the BBC’s swimming commentators at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, including Rebecca Adlington, Ellie Simmonds and Mark Foster.

The Commonwealth Games are here with the prestigious multi-sport event taking place from Thursday, 28 July to Monday, 8 August.

The swimming is well under way with a bunch of medals already in the bag for Team England.

As ever, the BBC is on hand to break down the action with its slate of presenters, pundits and commentators. Here’s who the BBC’s swimming commentators at the 2022 Commonwealth Games are.

Who are the BBC’s swimming presenters at Commonwealth Games?

Gabby Logan, Clare Balding, Hazel Irvine and Jason Mohammad are among the presenters bringing the action right to your door every day until 8 August.

To cover the pool action, former Olympic swimmers Rebecca Adlington, Ellie Simmonds and Mark Foster will be joining in to give a more expert analysis.

Adlington won two gold medals at the 2008 Olympics in the 400m freestyle and 800m freestyle. She also won bronze medals in the women’s 400m and 800m freestyle events in the 2012 Olympics in London.

Ellie Simmons is former Paralympian swimmer who competed in S6 events. She won two gold medals in the 2008 Paralympics as well two golds in London in 2012 and a gold in Rio in 2016.

Mark Foster represented Great Britain in the Olympics and world championships, and swam for England in the Commonwealth Games. He has six World Championship titles, two Commonwealth titles and 11 European titles to his name.

Who are the BBC’s swimming commentators?

The two main BBC swimming commentators at the 2022 Commonwealth Games will be pool-side at the aquatics centre in Birmingham.

They are former competitive swimmer turned sports commentator Andy Jameson and fellow Olympian Adrian Moorhouse. Moorhouse won the gold medal in the 100m breaststroke at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, South Korea.

Jameson won the gold medal in the 100m butterfly at the 1986 Commonwealth Games and the 1987 European Aquatics Championships. He won a bronze medal in the 1988 Olympics.
