Meet Alex Curry's husband as host fills in on The Herd and Undisputed

Let’s meet Alex Curry’s musician husband Jeff Nisen after the Fox Sports reporter has been filling in on The Herd and Undisputed recently.

Fox Sports’ Undisputed With Skip Bayless And Shannon Sharpe, and The Herd With Colin Cowherd are among the most popular daily sports shows on TV.

This week, following the conclusion of the 2021-22 NFL season and the All-Star weekend, regular hosts Joy Taylor and Jenny Taft have been absent. Alex Curry has been temporarily filling in for the pair, so let’s explore her career and Alex Curry’s husband, Jeff Nisen.

Alex Curry’s career so far

Alexandra (Alex) Curry was born on 27 May 1987 in California to parents Tim and Peggy Curry. She is the oldest of four girls and studied at San Diego State University, where she graduated in 2009 with a major in journalism media studies.

Curry covered the World University Games for Fox College Sports in 2011 as well as the Pro Beach Volleyball Series on NBC Sports in 2012. Alex joined Fox Sports West in 2012 and, two years later, became a reporter for the Los Angeles Angels and Los Angeles Kings telecasts.

Alex has covered soccer extensively. As well as covering the Angels and Kings on Fox Sports West, she is also fill-in host on FS1 studio programming and has hosted American Ninja Warrior: Ninja vs Ninja.

Meet Alex Curry’s husband, Jeff

Alex Curry’s husband is Jeff Nisen, who is a guitarist and singer-songwriter. The couple are college sweethearts and have been together since they first met.

They dated for several years and, on 2 July 2016, got married in an intimate wedding ceremony held at Manhattan Beach, California. 

Jeff Nisen’s music career

Jeff Nisen was inspired to take up music by 1990s punk rock bands. He formed his first serious band, Sand Section, with two friends after leaving college. They released their debut album in 2010 entitled Truth Over Harmony, but disbanded in 2013.

Jeff then joined hard rock band Lose Control and released EP Dark Times in 2019. Aside from Lose Control, Jeff is also in Bret Bollinger And The Bad Habits as a guitarist, backing vocalist, songwriter and music director.

Nisen began a solo career in 2020, releasing his latest track on 11 December 2020 entitled I Will. He can be found on Instagram @jeffnisen where he has 3,739 followers and plenty of pictures with wife Alex.
