Who is Lucy Ward?
Lucy Ward is a former professional football player and sports pundit. She was born on 15 April 1974, making her currently 47 years old.
Ward was a former player for Leeds United and represented England at U21 level. She played for Leeds United from 1996 to 2002. Ward had a brief stint at Doncaster Rover Belles from 2002 to 2003 but returned to Leeds United from 2003 onwards.
Lucy Ward retired from professional football in 2009, around the age of 35. She continued to work with the club as the head of education and welfare at the boys academy. Ward started this role in 1998, holding it until 2015. Now, the majority of her work is as a football pundit. Lucy Ward has also commented on other major sporting events such as the World Cups and Olympic Games.

Lucy joins BT Sport as a commentator
Lucy Ward has been featured as a co-commentator on BT Sport over the past year. She impressed football fans back in February, commentating on Leeds United’s narrow 1-0 defeat at Wolves.
Ward often joins instead of Steve McManaman. One supportive fan called this “a welcome upgrade.”
Lucy Ward also commentates on BBC, Talksport, Channel 4 and Sky.

And what about romantic partners – is she married?
It is unconfirmed whether or not Lucy Ward is married, although she does have a partner.
Lucy Ward is with ex Leeds United & Liverpool Ladies Head Coach Neil Redfearn.
The couple have been together for at least five years, given that in 2015 Ward was dismissed from her role at Leeds United because of her relationship with Redfearn.
