Here is a round-up of the latest transfer news surrounding Liverpool.
Liverpool are waiting to make their first signing of this January transfer window but the rumour mill continues to link players to the club.
David Carmo
According to NBC Sports, Liverpool are interested in signing Braga’s David Carmo. With the Reds’ injury woes continuing to leave their defensive-line depleted, the 21-year-old Portuguese centre-back could certainly play a part.
The 1.96 metre defender would be a towering presence from set-pieces and provide an aerial boost in defence. However, he is tied down until June 2025, meaning Liverpool would have to pay his $49 million release-clause to stand any chance of landing the defender.
Gleison Bremer
Bremer is a reported target for the Reds as per the Mirror. He is one much-sought after in the Premier League and the Anfield club face competition from their Merseyside rivals Everton for his services.
Bremer has played in his native Brazil and plies his trade for Torino. With the attack-minded Virgil van Dijk absent, the Brazilian could certainly provide some goals. He scored five goals and provided three assists last season.

Milan Skriniar and Ozak Kabak
Calciomercato report that Liverpool are interested in both Inter Milan’s Milan Skrinar and Schalke’s Ozak Kabak.
The former has been a solid option for the Nerazzurri since joining from Sampdoria and has only improved under the tactician Antonio Conte. The defender is reportedly valued at €60 million, which could put off Jurgen Klopp’s side.
However, if they want a cheaper alternative, Kabak could be the answer. The Turkish defender has been one of the few bright sparks for Schalke since joining in July 2019.
The side have conceded 39 Bundesliga goals this term and sit at the bottom of the table, although it’s not for the want of trying. The side’s fortunes arguably could have been even worse without him.
Sven Botman
Lille defender Sven Botman was heavily linked with Liverpool. The Reds had opened discussions with the Dutchman, according to journalist Duncan Castles on The Transfer Window podcast.
However, Athletic correspondent, James Pearce reported that the defender is no longer for sale, with the French club keen to keep hold of Botman.
