On-loan Liverpool defender Ozan Kabak was part of the Turkey side who stunned the Netherlands last night.
Kabak’s men ran out 4-2 winners, inspired by a hat-trick from experienced captain Burak Yilmaz.
It was a famous night for Turkey, who kicked off their World Cup 2022 qualification campaign in some style.
Yilmaz will capture the headlines on a night full of goalmouth action at both ends of the pitch.

But Kabak certainly played his part in helping his side secure the win, making a whopping 13 clearances on the night.
That’s five more than the next most in Turkey colours, who was central defensive partner and Leicester star Caglar Soyuncu.
He wasn’t afraid to be physical with the likes of Memphis Depay – who missed a late penalty.
That meant Kabak did pick up a booking – something he has also been prone to with Liverpool – but it was a small price to pay.
Liverpool will hope that Kabak can take the confidence from this win back to Anfield.
He’s developing a partnership with Nat Phillips, based around physicality and balancing out each other’s weaknesses.
Kabak is essentially on trial at Liverpool until the end of the season, when the Reds will decide whether to make his loan deal permanent.
If he keeps performing like this, he’ll do his hopes no harm.
