Liverpool stepped up their preparations for the Premier League return with a 6-0 friendly victory over Blackburn Rovers on Thursday – and some of the club’s supporters were left excited over the performance of Takumi Minamino.
Jurgen Klopp’s side netted six past the Championship opposition and attacker Minamino tucked in a left-footed finish inside the box to boost his confidence with a goal.
The Reds are on the brink of claiming their first Premier League title and could secure it in their competitive return to action in the Merseyside derby.
Liverpool will secure the top-flight crown with a win away to Everton on 21 June, but need Manchester City to lose beforehand against Arsenal for that to happen.
With the title success a matter of when not if due to their 25-point cushion over Man City, it could give manager Klopp the opportunity to get a good look at his squad in the remaining nine fixtures of the league campaign.

A selection of Liverpool supporters on social media are predicting Minamino to make his mark in the upcoming games.
The 25-year-old joined the club back in the January transfer window from Red Bull Salzburg, which is where he managed to catch the eye in the Champions League group stages.
He is a versatile forward that can play anywhere across the frontline, but has made just seven first-team appearances since his mid-season move and has had limited chances.
The Japan international has the sizeable task of trying to force his way into arguably Europe’s most potent attacking trio, but his work-rate fits the profile of a Klopp player and the best is surely yet to come from him.
