Here’s a round-up of the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding Everton.

Last week we reported on Everton’s links to Sami Khedira, Rui Silva, Leon Bailey and Joshua Zirkzee among others, and two potential departures to Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.

Here’s an update of transfer news and gossip from the Everton camp.

Potential signings

Joshua Zirkzee

Everton have a race on their hands if they are to land Bayern Munich starlet Joshua Zirkzee on loan. This follows speculation that Parma are in pole position to land the Dutchman.

Tuttomercatoweb insists that the Serie A side are now the leading contenders for the 19-year-old striker.

The Daily Mail had previously suggested the Toffees were keen to lure Zirkzee on loan until the end of the season.

The Blues possess two high-profile recognised centre-forwards in Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Cenk Tosun. And Zirkzee would bolster their options up front.

However, with the Turkish striker linked with moves elsewhere, the club would be relying once more on Calvert-Lewin.

Tariq Lamptey

The Athletic reports that Everton are in the hunt for Brighton defender Tariq Lamptey, despite the former Chelsea man signing a new contract.

Sport1 suggested that the Seagulls’ asking-price for the 20-year-old was £23 million, amid interest from Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Arsenal.

Yet, the new developments haven’t changed much in terms of their valuation. As a result, the Toffees have been undeterred and remain in the hunt for the marauding wing-back.

The reported interest has left some Blues fans optimistic.

Felipe Anderson

Fabrizio Romano insists that Everton have been offered the opportunity to sign West Ham United attacker Felipe Anderson.

The Hammers midfielder is on loan at Porto but has struggled to cement a starting place at the Portuguese champions.

The Italian journalist mentioned that the Brazilian wasn’t a priority for the Toffees for the time being. However, with Bernard constantly rumoured with Roma, Anderson could be lined up as his compatriot’s replacement.

The Brazilian has also been linked with a loan move to United Arab Emirates side Al Ain, according to FootMercato. So Everton may have a battle on their hands for the former Lazio man.

Bernard and Robin Olsen swap update

Corriere dello Sport reports that it is still possible for a potential swap-deal to be struck involving Bernard joining Roma and Robin Olsen signing with Everton on a permanent basis.

The report suggests that the move for both parties is still very much alive, but will hinge on Everton lowering their demands for the Brazilian.

Roma have lined up former player Stephan El Shaarawy as an alternative option for the former Shakhtar forward, but the club must sell a player before they are allowed to make further additions.

Unlikely to happen

Gustavo Assuncao

Everton have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of midfielder Gustavo Assuncao, following comments made by the Brazilian in an interview with A Bola.

Brazil Under-23 international Assuncao claimed that he was uninterested in leaving Famalicao.

AS claims that Assuncao is valued at £23 million. However, when asked regarding a potential exit he said, “Actually, I don’t think about these things much.

“My parents taught me that, in football, a situation changes from one day to the next, and I only focus on training myself, being better every day so I can win all three points at the weekend and help Famalicao.”
