Tottenham Hotspur talisman Harry Kane has gone to a new level this season, there’s no doubt about it.
His goals – and partnership with Son Heung-min – were the main reason Spurs hit the Premier League summit earlier in the season.
And, even as the team’s performances have tailed off, Kane has kept his standards sky high. He has arguably become even better as he desperately tries to drag his struggling side into the Champions League places.
- RUNNERS AND RIDERS: Who will be the next Tottenham manager?
Kane is Tottenham’s top goalscorer and assist creator. But his impact goes far further than that

How tall is Harry Kane?
Kane has always been a single-minded shot-taker with the accuracy to justify it. He’s also a threat in the air at 6ft 2in.
But his assists have gone through the roof this season and it’s also clear from the stats he doesn’t just rely on penalties for his goals.
Kane’s influence isn’t limited to the above categories either. He’s actually in the top ten in the following 11 Premier League categories:
It’s that man again
- Goals per 90 (0.84) Kane ranks second
- Penalties scored (4) ranks joint fifth
- Non-penalty goals per 90 (0.58) ranks third
- xG per 90 (0.59) ranks joint second
- Non-penalty xG per 90 (0.49) ranks fifth
- xA (6.5) ranks seventh; Son is fourth
- Shots on target per 90 (1.4) ranks second
- Goals above xG (3.7) ranks joint fourth
- Through balls (12) ranks joint third
- Goal-creating actions (22) ranks second
- GCA per 90 (0.75) ranks joint fourth
- OUR VIEW: Levy shouldn’t lose hope of Nagelsmann managing Spurs
It has been another season without team glory for Kane at Spurs but he’s one of the leading contenders for the PFA player of the year award.
During Project Restart, he looked leggy after returning from injury. Some Tottenham fans may have wondered where their hero would go from there.
But this season Kane has come back fitter than ever while revealing another side to his game.
There’s an argument for saying he’s the best player in the division. Comparing him with his peers only strengthens that viewpoint.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will be doing everything in his power to keep Kane at Spurs.
