Who is Jade Carey’s coach?
The gymnast is coached by her dad, Brian Carey. While the father and daughter duo work alongside each other, Brian has previously opened up on how they prefer to keep the gymnastics chat at the gym.
In an interview with Flogymnastics in 2017, he explained: “It’s great, we definitely leave gymnastics at the gym, so we walk out the door, and we don’t speak it until we walk back into the door the next time at the gym.”
Carey often features their close bond on Instagram with her 118,000 followers and, in September last year, thanked him for his support over the years.
As she celebrated his birthday, she wrote: “Happy birthday dad!! Thanks for being by my side every step of the way. I love you.”

Gymnast’s parents and family life explored
Jade Carey is the daughter of dad Brian Carey and mom Danielle Mitchell-Greenberg. The gymnast is one of four children and has three siblings, including sisters Alexsis, Taeva and brother Xandon.
Jade’s mother, Danielle, who she has previously dubbed her number one supporter, appeared on the Today show earlier this month alongside the other Team USA moms.
On the show, Danielle spoke of how Jade’s passion for gymnastics started as a child. She explained: “I believe she was about four years old, her dad and I were watching TV and all of a sudden, oop there goes a cartwheel.
“We looked at each other, and I said ‘did you teach her that’ and he said ‘no, did you’ and I said ‘no’ and so I think we kind of knew at that point.”
