Reports in Spain linked Liverpool with a swoop for Wolves winger Adama Traore last week.
As per Sport, the Reds are willing to battle Manchester City and Leeds to land the rapid wideman.
In the Times, Tony Cascarino comments on Traore’s goal output and said he needs to improve his ‘horrific’ numbers.
Cascarino said Traore would do well to emulate Reds star Mo Salah’s movement when Sadio Mane has the ball to get his stats up.

“One comes away from watching Adama Traoré thinking how dynamic and explosive he is and how he can change a game in an instant, but his numbers are horrific and there’s a clear reason for this,” wrote Cascarino.
“Mo Salah scores so many goals because he always runs into dangerous areas, particularly when the ball is on the other side with Sadio Mané. Traoré has equal technical ability but never breaks his back to get into those dangerous positions.
“There are too many times when the ball is out wide on the left and Traoré is standing still on the right. He has no goals and only one assist in the Premier League this year, but he should score regularly because he is a serious talent.
“He loves to go around a defender with the ball, but Nuno Espírito Santo needs to encourage him to get to the byline more when he doesn’t have it.”

Getting in at that back post when the ball is on the other side is a surefire way for widemen to get their goal return up.
Traore is still in the category of eye-catching winger who fails to deliver end-product enough despite some improvement on that score last season.
His pace and skill make it clear why Liverpool would be interested if he was available either this month or in the summer.
But for a side as driven by data as the Reds, Traore’s lack of goals will concern their recruitment team right now.
