Golf journalist and writer Tim Rosaforte has passed away at the age of 66 following his battle with Alzheimer’s disease. The journalist and sportscaster was renowned as a golf ‘insider’ who took fans closer to the action. He is survived by his wife, Genevieve, and two daughters. We take a look at his career and family life in wake of the sad news.
Golf journalist passes away after battle with Alzheimer’s disease
Tim Rosaforte passed away on 11 January in Palm Beach, Florida, after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
The journalist and writer had a career spanning multiple decades, working at some of the top golf publications including Sports Illustrated, Golf Digest and the Golf Channel. He also worked for broadcast channels such as USA Network and NBC-Golf Channel.
Rosaforte covered more than 125 majors and 17 Ryder Cups. He also received the PGA Of America’s lifetime achievement award for journalism.
Rosaforte was also the first journalist to be given honorary membership by the PGA. He retired in 2019 after an incredible 40-year career.

Who is Tim Rosaforte’s wife?
Tim Rosaforte’s wife is Genevieve Stewart Rosaforte. The couple had been married for almost 40 years, celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary on 9 April 2018.
While Genevieve keeps a low profile online she can often be found in pictures on her husband’s Instagram. It appears she was a full-time mother to her two children. Genevieve had one sister, Sue Stewart Chandler, who sadly passed away many years ago.

The couple have two daughters, Molly Gibson Rosaforte and Genna Low Bezek. Genna married real estate agent Nick Bezek in 2014 and the couple had their first child in 2018.
