Harris English’s career and 2021 so far
US-born English has had some great performances already in 2021. He finished third in this year’s US Open, one place better than he did the year before.
English then went on to win this year’s Travelers Championship.
Harris had a disappointing Open Championship, finishing T46 on -2 under.
However, Harris has found his groove at the World Golf Championships-FedEx St. Jude Invitational.
He has led since Thursday, closing with three consecutive birdies before a par on 18 to go into Sunday with a two-stroke lead at 18 under.
He is fifth in the FedExCup and a career-high 10th in the world.
The wife and family life of Harris English
Harris English is married to Helen Marie Bowers. Helen, like Harris, attended the University of Georgia, where they met.
The couple were married in 2017 on a golf course, naturally, not far from their home.
The couple currently live in Sea Island, Georgia. Sea Island is home to other professional golfers too, such as JT Poston, Keith Mitchell and Patton Kizzire.
Helen is also American by nationality. It is reported she is an estate agent in Georgia.
Harris keeps a lot of his family life out of the public eye. There’s not much information on their relationship but they appear very happily married from everything he has to say about it.
Harris also comes from a small family. He is the only child of Ben and Martha English.
While he went to South Georgia’s public school, which isn’t renowned for its athletic facilities, Harris’ parents have supported him throughout his career.
