Arsenal defender Gabriel has clinched his third successive player of the month award, with the announcement coming as no surprise to some Gunners fans.
Having joined the north London outfit from French side Lille in the summer, the Brazilian clinched the honour for his performances in September and October before once again winning the award for November.
The 22-year-old was the overwhelming winner with more than three-quarters (76%) of the vote. Youngsters Joe Willock and Bukayo Saka were voted second and third respectively.
Another strong month for Gabriel
Gabriel helped the Gunners to clean sheets in the 1-0 win at Manchester United and the goalless draw with Leeds, before scoring in the 2-1 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Mikel Arteta’s men scored just twice in the league last month so Gabriel’s honour came as no shock to many of the Arsenal faithful.

Worrying time for Arteta
It’s undoubtedly an anxious time to be in the dugout at the Emirates. Arteta is coming under increasing pressure to deliver results.

The Spaniard has seen his side slip to 15th in the Premier League table. The Gunners have won only four of their 11 league matches this season.
Sunday’s 2-0 loss to arch rivals Tottenham Hotspur has ramped up the pressure on the manager’s shoulders even more.
