Arsenal and Everton are both eyeing a January move for Stade Reims striker Boulaye Dia, according to le10sport.
The 24-year-old was reportedly free to leave the Ligue 1 side in the summer. However, the striker chose to stay and prove himself to manager David Guion.
And it has proven a wise decision. Dia has eight league goals this season, just two behind Kylian Mbappe in the Ligue 1 scoring charts.
Dia’s displays have caught the eye of several major European clubs, including Premier League pair Arsenal and Everton.
Dia’s contract with Stade Reims is set to run until 2022. However, the Gunners and Toffees could make their move next month after discovering he could be available for just £10 million.
Much-needed goals for Gunners
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has seen his side struggle this season amid their worst league start since the 1974/75 campaign. Much of the recent misery felt by Arsenal fans stems from the side’s lack of goals.

Alexandre Lacazette leads the Gunners’ Premier League scoring charts this season with just three. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Gabriel are next on two apiece.
The Gunners have found the net just ten times in the league this term, only two more than potential recruit Dia has managed on his own.
Toffees keen to bolster attack
Carlo Ancelotti is another manager keen to strengthen his attack. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has scored 11 of the club’s 21 league goals this season.
The Italian boss will be keen for other players to start sharing the load in front of goal. James Rodriguez the striker’s closest competitor on three.
But the Premier League outfits will also have to battle it out for Dia’s signature with Ligue 1 clubs Marseille and Lyon, who are reportedly keen on the Senegal international’s signature.
