Manchester United have turned to Ousmane Dembele after their pursuit of Jadon Sancho ran cold.
But RMC Sport in France (05/10, 11:01 GMT) say he will stay at Barcelona this summer.
On top of that, BBC report that United signing Dembele today is very unlikely.
It was a bleak day for United yesterday, losing 6-1 at home to Tottenham, at the hands of former manager Jose Mourinho.
That looks to have put a rocket into their transfer activity, with Edinson Cavani and Alex Telles set to arrive today.
But Dembele will apparently not be joining them, even though RMC say he will not be used very much by Ronald Koeman at Barcelona.
Most people could see United’s negotiating approach wasn’t going to work over Sancho.
It has seemingly proved that way and now their backup option doesn’t look like coming off either.
Where do United go from here? What happens when the second choice says no?
We might be about to find out before 11pm today…
