Tyron Woodley vs Jake Paul press conference gets extremely heated
The Tyron Woodley vs. Jake Paul press conference took place on Thursday ahead of their boxing bout on Sunday, 29 August.
The two fighters faced off, and were largely pretty cordial, however, in the audience a scuffle broke out between Team Paul and Team Woodley.
The fracas mostly involved Woodley’s mom, Deborah, also known as “Mama Woodley,” who clearly wasn’t happy with a member of Jake Paul’s entourage.
Things very nearly got ugly as she confronted the man dressed in orange.
Jake and Tyron continued to go at it as the two parties were escorted away from the conference room.
Rather amusingly, CBS reporter Brian Campbell asked Woodley’s mom if anyone “put hands on her”, to she replied “Well, is he dead?”
Here she is telling The Mac Life what went down from her side of things.
Who is Tyron Woodley’s mom?
Tyron Woodley’s mom is pretty well known on the MMA circuit, appearing backstage at many a UFC event (more on that shortly).

Deborah Woodley showed class and dignity after Darren Till and Kamaru Usman fights
Woodley is one of the greatest welterweights in UFC history, despite his recent decline.
Back in 2018, Tyron was the man at 170 lbs, and defeated Darren Till at UFC 228 in Liverpool.
After the fight, Till bumped in to Mama Woodley who had some very kind words for him
A few years later, Woodley fought Kamaru Usman for the welterweight title, losing in pretty dominate fashion.
Deborah Woodley was once again seen backstage congratulating Usman, telling him that it’s now his time to shine.
Usman would be so touched by the embrace that he’d even shed a few tears.
Joe Rogan sat down with The Nigerian Nightmare on his podcast and spoke about the touching moment with Woodley’s mom.
