Velasquez was arrested after a traffic stop and has been charged with ten counts, including attempted premeditated murder and multiple gun assault charges, according to a press release by the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office.

What we know about Cain Velasquez’s family
Velasquez is a married man and has two children, the Daily Mail reports. The former UFC star has been married to Michelle Velasquez, 37, since 2011 and credits her as the reason he joined wrestling franchise WWE.
As per Monsters & Critics, Cain filmed a video diary in 2019 explaining his wife and agent had swayed him towards WWE. That prompted his friend, Daniel Cormier, to share: “I remember watching him at (WWE) Elimination Chamber and you can see this was something he could love. I’m not sure he ever fell for something faster, well, except for when he met Michelle.”
Cain and Michelle have two children, a daughter born in 2009 and a son born in 2018. Talking to UFC.com, Cain said: “All the love you get from your family, knowing they’re always there, it’s just the best thing. It definitely keeps you grounded, it definitely keeps you focused. Family are the people who love you and are always around you.”
Michelle made no comment when appearing at the Santa Clara County Hall Of Justice but had earlier urged supporters to join the hearing.
UFC star took break from training during birth of second child
Velasquez previously admitted his tough training schedule made it hard for him to be there for his wife during her first pregnancy but, during the second, he took a break.
The champion revealed: “I was there for her for the whole thing and then my son being born and being hands-on the whole first year. And man, I love the time I spent away. I got to do a lot of things I didn’t have the chance to do before. I just really cherished those moments I had.”
