UFC President Dana White has confirmed that Jorge Masvidal will not be allowed to fight Jake Paul, but he has suggested who the Youtuber should box next.
White and Paul have had their issues over the last few months. The UFC boss is clearly is not a fan of what the former Disney star has been doing, while the YouTuber doesn’t really like White either.
Paul has been calling out Masvidal for a boxing match. Gamebred is still under contract with the UFC, which means White will have to give the green light for the crossover to happen. However, the 52-year-old has no plans of agreeing to that.

Dana White: Jake Paul should fight Anderson Silva, not Masvidal
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, White said: “Come on, Masvidal is 170 pounds. He (Paul) likes 170 pounders. Go fight somebody your own size. Anderson Silva is not in contract, he’s 46 years old, that’s the age group you love to fight, and he’s your size, and he’s actually winning fights.
“If you look at Jake Paul’s history, Jake Paul either fights basketball players who have never fought, or he wants to fight washed-up older guys who haven’t fought in years. Anderson Silva has actually been boxing, he’s won some fights, he’s 46 years old, and he’s in your weight class. There you go, that’s a no brainer, fight Anderson Silva.
“You have Anderson who’s not under contract with anybody and has just won two boxing matches. There you go. You’re welcome. I just made your next boxing match for you, but I bet you don’t see that one happening. Wanna bet?”

Could Paul vs Silva happen?
In a world where Logan Paul, who couldn’t even beat fellow YouTuber KSI, can face Floyd Mayweather, anything is possible. However, a fight against Anderson Silva could end really badly for the younger Paul brother.
The Brazilian is over two decades older than Paul, but it looks like he has still got it. He finished Tito Ortiz in the very first round recently and it won’t be a surprise to anyone to see him do something similar to Paul.
We’re with Dana White here, we don’t think Paul will fight Silva anytime soon. However, stranger things have happened over the last year and if The Problem Child does end up in the ring with the Spider, we’re ready for it.
