Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher has called Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Son Heung-min the most dangerous duo in European football.

On Monday Night Football (07/12, 7:30pm), Carragher claimed there is no pairing more potent than the Spurs duo right now.

They teed each other up for goals once again in the 2-0 win over Arsenal on Sunday.

Son has ten Premier League goals for the season, while Kane has eight, as well as a whopping ten assists.

“Who is the most dangerous combination in European football right now?” said Carragher. “Harry Kane and Son.”

“The message going into that game from the manager has to be (to Hector Bellerin), when the ball goes on the other side, I’m next to the centre back.

“Do not leave that space there. I can’t believe how poor it was tactically from an Arsenal point of view. Did they not watch the Man City game?”

So which duos in Europe might dispute Carragher’s claim? Mo Salah and Sadio Mane or Raheem Sterling and Kevin de Bruyne on these shores maybe – but neither pair has been on the same form as Kane and Son so far.

Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowski were as good as anybody last season as Bayern Munich won the Champions League.

Perhaps Neymar and Kylian Mbappe would have something to say about it, especially after their masterclass at Old Trafford on Wednesday.

Mbappe has ten Ligue 1 goals and four assists, but Neymar’s injury issues have stopped him wracking up the numbers yet.

Either way, it’s quite the claim from Carragher and the fact you’re scrambling around to think of other duos who might be better tells you everything about why Tottenham are currently top of the table.
