Here’s a round-up of the latest news surrounding Arsenal.

Arsenal are waiting to make their first signing of this January transfer window but the rumour mill continues to link players to the club.

Possible signings

Emi Buendia

With just 20 goals from their 17 league games, the Gunners have often struggled with creativity in the final third this season.

The exile of Mesut Ozil has provided a further absence of chances created going forward. However, the Express claims that could all end this month with the acquisition of Norwich star Buendia.

Having created 83 chances in the top flight last term, the Argentinian has created more chances this season than any other player in Europe’s top five leagues.

Julian Brandt

The German is another who Mikel Arteta could turn to. The 24-year-old is currently failing to find his best form in the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund.

Football London claims the north London side are keeping tabs on the attacker, particularly if a move for Buendia fails to surface.

Possible departures

Eddie Nketiah, Joe Willock, Reiss Nelson

According to Football.London, Arsenal could allow Eddie Nketiah to leave as part of a deal to bring in a new playmaker.

It’s claimed Joe Willock, Reiss Nelson and Nketiah are all seen as potential makeweights this month, with all three thirsty for first-team action.

However, any deals are likely be loans as Mikel Arteta continues to show faith in the club’s youth system.

Mohamed Elneny

Despite featuring heavily under Arteta in the league and in Europe, the Egyptian could make way for summer signing Thomas Partey when the Ghanaian returns from injury.

According to the Daily Mail, Elneny has a suitor in the form of Besiktas, having spent last season on loan at the Turkish side.

Dani Ceballos

Another midfielder who could move is Spaniard Dani Ceballos. The 24-year-old reportedly told Spanish radio station Cadena Ser he hopes to return to Real Madrid.

He is currently on loan from the La Liga club and told the station: “My goal is to succeed at Arsenal. My wish is to wear the Madrid shirt.”
