Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Bogusz has started the last four league matches for loan club UD Logrones in La Liga 2.

He made his eighth league appearance of the season on Saturday, in an away clash with Rayo Vallecano.

Bogusz netted his first goal of the season with a penalty to open the scoring on 20 minutes.

Unfortunately for him, that lead was wiped out within six minutes and the hosts sealed a 2-1 victory.

As per Transfermarkt, Bogusz played as an attacking midfielder but has also played out wide at times for his loan club.

He only lasted 64 minutes, when he was replaced by Leonardo Ruiz.

But the substitute was then sent off for two bookable offences, with the second coming in stoppage time.

Leeds will be pleased to see him starting matches – that’s the whole point of going out on loan.

That said, Logrones have lost each of their last three matches, and Bogusz has been taken off in each of them.

They sit 13th in the table, so the trip to sixth-placed Rayo was always going to be a tricky one.

The Leeds midfield won’t be easy to break into, but he’s better off playing regular football than waiting for the odd game at Elland Road.

Hopefully he can kick on after getting his first goal of the campaign.
