TUF 29: episode 1 recap

In episode 1, team coaches Alexander Volkanovski and Brian Ortega first got a feel for the athletes.

Ortega looked for how the fighters performed in certain situations while Volkanovski focused on who would make a good training partner.

The coaches then made their picks, with bantamweight Mitch Raposo being picked first for Team Volkanovski.

Ortega chose the first fight of the new season, pitting middleweights Andre Petroski (Team Ortega) against Aaron Phillips (Team Volkanovski).

Petroski and Team Ortega won the fight in the first round via submission.

The second fight, between the bantamweights, takes places on episode 2.

Liudvik Sholinian will face the first overall pick, Mitch Raposo.
