What happened to Michelle Tuzee? The much-loved ABC7 news anchor hasn’t been on air in months and fans are beginning to get worried. Here’s what we know so far.

Who is Michelle Tuzee?

Michelle Tuzee co-anchors the ABC7 Eyewitness News every night at 5pm and 11pm alongside Marc Brown in Los Angeles, California. She has been in her current position since 1997 and is a well-loved journalist.

Her first job was at KJCT-TV in Grand Junction, Colorado where she worked as a reporter, anchor and news producer.

She then went on to work for TV news stations in Wisconsin and Florida before joining the ABC7 team on the west coast in California.

Michelle Tuzee married Craig Gropper in 1996, and the couple have three children.

What happened to Michelle Tuzee?

In September, Michelle Tuzee stopped appearing on ABC7’s Eyewitness News suddenly. This led fans to worry and try reaching out to her on social media.

On her latest Instagram post, from 1 August, a worried fan asked Michelle where she was to which she replied “back soon. Thank you.”

However, Michelle Tuzee still hasn’t returned to the airwaves.

Normally a frequent tweeter, she hasn’t posted on the app since 18 August. However, it appears she has been on the website since then – her last likes were on 8 October.

Another reporter and anchor for ABC7’s Eyewitness News, Jory Rand, replied to a fan’s concerns regarding Michelle’s whereabouts yesterday.

Adding to this, another anchor, Ellen Leyva, added that Michelle would be returning to the news that following Monday.

However, as of 12 November it appears she has still not returned to her regular show.

Despite the confirmation that Michelle Tuzee is alive and well, there has been a continual outpouring of concern from viewers of Eyewitness News.

We hope that she is keeping well and will be back to viewers’ screens in no time!
