Is VB In The Middle cancelled? The last episode of the daily radio show was broadcast by WRKO on 30 October and fans say its daily slot has been replaced by Rush Limbaugh. What happened to the beloved show?

The premise of VB In The Middle

VB In The Middle is a talk radio show airing at midday on WRKO, a commercial talk radio station in Boston, Massachusetts. It is owned by iHeartRadio and radio shows go out on its website as podcasts.

The show is hosted by Doug ‘VB’ Goudie, and broadcasts across New England.

Prior to hosting VB In The Middle, Goudie was a Fox 25 news personality.

In an interview with BecauseHamilton, Goudie stated his show aims to represent the quieter centre in political opinion, namely his own views.

This is because, Goudie points out, VB In The Middle is flanked by shows hosted by “two extremely loud conservatives”.

Is VB In The Middle cancelled?

Fans have been wondering whether WRKO has cancelled the show, as its last episode seems to have aired on 30 October. Ever since, VB In The Middle has been missing from its daily slot.

Neither the show’s executive producer Marita McKinnon – known as Producer Lightning – nor Doug Goudie have commented on whether VB In The Middle is actually cancelled.

Listeners say the show has been replaced by Rush Limbaugh, who was dropped by WRKO in 2015.

Limbaugh is a well-known talk radio host and conservative political commentator.

Some fans have suggested the sudden loss of VB In The Middle from the New England airwaves may be down to station cuts.

The show’s page on the WRKO website page has been taken down, as has the VB In The Middle Instagram profile.

Doug ‘VB’ Goudie is still active on his own Twitter account, however.

It’s not known for sure what is happening with VB In The Middle, but listeners will definitely be keeping one ear open for updates.
