Who is Terez Paylor’s longterm girlfriend Ebony Reed?

Currently, Ebony Reed works for the Wall Street Journal as the newspaper’s New Audiences Chief. She started in the position in July 2019.

She has used her platform for, among other things, promoting her fiancé’s radio show, The Terez Paylor Show, a football discussion podcast.

Before joining the WSJ, Reed was director of innovation at the Donald W Reynolds Journalism Institute at the Missouri School of Journalism. In this position she also taught courses in leadership and media sales.

Previously, she put in six years at The Associated Press, an American non-profit news agency based in New York City.

Originally, however, Reed started her career as a reporter at The Plain Dealer, a major regional newspaper serving Cleveland, Ohio.

Her education is in journalism and media management. She attended the Missouri School of Journalism before going on to work there.

In her role at the WSJ, she recently approached the National Bar Association (NBA), which represents 60,000 black legal professionals, “to engage their members in an audience-driven project” with the Journal.

Her intention was to “bring more diverse audience voices into the news process”.
