Who is Luka Garza’s girlfriend? The Iowa Hawkeyes basketball player looks set for superstardom after scoring 76 points in two games, a record in the Big Ten conference. As he’s gaining recognition, fans want to know more about him and his personal life. For example, who is his girlfriend, Maggie?
Who is Luka Garza girlfriend Maggie Mynderse?
It’s unknown when the pair met, but Garza is happy to share photos of himself and Maggie on Instagram.
According to Earn The Necklace, Maggie was born in 1998 and has an older brother, Christian, who is a CrossFit athlete.
Maggie graduated from Mayo High School in Rochester, in 2016. She went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from the University of Iowa earlier this year.
Maggie can often be seen court-side at Garza’s games. In fact, she sits next to Garza’s father, Frank, for just about every match.
However, that isn’t always the most comfortable experience. Earlier this year, Frank Garza told KCRG he can get carried away while watching his son play.
He said: “Constantly I’m apologising to Maggie because I’m either elbowing her or just having some reaction. She doesn’t know what’s happening. I’m constantly trying to apologise for being too loud.”
Luka Garza headed for the NBA
Garza senior’s excitement is understandable given Luka’s sensational rise.
The 21-year-old appeared set for the NBA in 2020 but opted to finish his senior year instead.
His current side, Iowa Hawkeyes, have certainly benefited from that decision. Garza has been in stunning form in the Big Ten conference.
Garza’s record-breaking numbers
Garza starred in the side’s last two wins – against Southern Jaguars and Western Illinois Leathernecks.
He scored 76 points across the two games. As confirmed by Essentially Sports, this is a record for the most points scored in a two-game span in the Big Ten conference in the past 20 years.
Things can only get better from here
At 6ft 11in, Garza certainly has the physical frame to reach the very top of the basketball world.
If he keeps performing at this level, it’s surely only a matter of time before he’s snapped up by an NBA side.
With Maggie and Frank by his side, it seems there are endless possibilities within Garza’s lengthy reach.
