Social media has been reacting to the shock omission (and inclusion) of names on Draymond Green’s top five players under 25 list. Let’s take a look at what the Warriors star has done to cause controversy.

Who made Draymond Green’s top five players under 25 list?

With the Golden State Warriors failing to make the playoffs this year, Defensive Player Of The Year candidate Draymond Green has been brushing up on his broadcasting skills.

The three-times NBA Champion has been a regular on TNT’s Inside The NBA during the past few seasons, proving himself a compelling and highly intelligent analyst.

Recently, on Bleacher Report’s Just Playin’, host Taylor Rooks asked Draymond who his top five players were under the age of 25.

Green’s list has caused a bit of a stir online – here it is in full.

No surprise – Green puts Luka and Tatum on the list

Luka Doncic, Jayson Tatum and Devin Booker all pick themselves.

Doncic is a perennial MVP-calibre player, while Jayson Tatum is developing into one of the most dangerous offensive juggernauts in the league. (He recently dropped a 50-point game on the Nets, in case you forgot).

Devin Booker and Trae Young are also hard to leave off, with the Suns playing excellent basketball and 2-0 up against Denver in the Western Conference semis, and ‘Ice Trae’ being a huge factor in the Hawks reaching the second round.

Twitter reacts to Zion Williamson’s inclusion and Donovan Mitchell’s omission

However, some have criticised the inclusion of former no.1 overall pick Zion Williamson, saying he’s not a top five player under 25.

Zion is the only player on the list who has failed to lead his team to the playoffs.

Others have defended Zion, saying he’s on a much weaker squad and, individually, is superior. Many have also called out the omission of Donovan Mitchell, who is coming off the back of a 45-point showing in Game 1 vs the Clippers.

Some have also mentioned Ja Morant as a top-five player.

Here’s what people are saying – warning, it got pretty heated.
