Seven hours ago, Tyler The Creator tweeted the name of his new album’s first song, Sir Baudelaire, all in caps.
Given the consistency of the promotional material that preceded the album’s launch, fans and commentators alike have speculated that Tyler Baudelaire is the latest of Tyler’s character creations.

Meanwhile, HypeBeast wrote yesterday that Sir Baudelaire’s look was “marked by his recurrent wearing of a fur cap”.
Album art also features an ID card bearing the name Tyler Baudelaire, whose date of birth matches Tyler’s (6 March 1991).

Who is Yler Baudelaire?
A year-old Reddit post in the subreddit r/tylerthecreator posed the question, “who the f*** is Yler Baudelaire?”
The question refers to the name attached to the Instagram handle @scumf***flowerboy, which the OP of the above Reddit post claims is run by Tyler himself.
As one commenter correctly points out, Tyler Baudelaire may well be a reference to Charles Baudelaire, a prominent French poet, essayist and art critic, who lived from 1821 to 1867.

Charles Baudelaire was among the first to translate the prose works of Edgar Allen Poe into French.
However, Tyler may have had other associations or meanings in mind regarding his latest character’s surname, Baudelaire.
