Rapper Soulja Boy has become a trending topic on social media this week, with fans curious to know why.

The rapper rose to fame in the naughties for his debut hit single Crank That (Soulja Boy) at just 17 years old, with the now 31-year-old recently having success with 2021 track Rick & Morty.  

2022 sees the rapper release a new documentary series, The Life Of Draco. However, it is neither his music nor the upcoming release that has seen him trend online this week.

While you may remember the rapper for his music hits in the noughties, in recent years Soulja Boy has become better known for his following on social media. 

He currently has millions of followers across TikTok, Instagram and Twitter, but it’s his OnlyFans that has caused him to trend this week. 

Some may be surprised to learn the Chicago-born rapper has been uploading content to the subscription site for almost a year. However, Soulja Boy began trending on Twitter this week after content from the site was allegedly leaked.

How has Soulja Boy reacted?

Despite “Soulja Boy of” becoming a trending topic on Twitter this week, the 31-year-old rapper seems to be unbothered by the leak. 

Instead, Soulja Boy has promoted his upcoming projects, including his new track Aquarius as well as his forthcoming docu-series The Life of Draco:

The rapper has also retweeted a number of reactions to the leak and also tweeted the link to his OnlyFans page.

When does Soulja Boy’s docu-series air?

Elsewhere the rapper, real name DeAndre Cortez Way, is set to release a documentary-style series entitled The Life Of Draco on his life with REVOLT TV. 

According to The Source, as well as sharing insights into Soulja Boy’s day to day life, it will also follow his 2021 Millennium Tour and reflect on his past hits. 

The documentary series will premiere on the REVOLT app next Friday (21 January).
