Drake is set to release his latest album, Certified Lover Boy, tomorrow Friday 3 September, having announced it would be dropping earlier this week on Instagram. Ahead of the album, the artist has hinted to his CLB collaborators listing their nicknames on billboards in cities across the US, with some now curious to know who the rapper Smurk is.
CLB featured artists announced via billboard
After confirming the release date of his latest album, Certified Lover Boy on Instagram earlier this week, Drake has hinted at the albums featured artists via billboards in cities across the US.
According to Hot New Hip Hop, the billboards have appeared in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and Atlanta.
The billboards are seen to hint to the CLB collaborators as they list the artist’s nicknames. One billboard was seen to read: “Hey Atlanta, Slime, Pluto, Savage and Baby are on CLB.”
Slime, Pluto, Savage and Baby are all said to be in reference to rappers Young Thug, Future, 21 Savage and Lil Baby. Although some have since wondered who the nickname Smurk relates to as the name is featured on a billboard in Chigaco.

Who is rapper Smurk?
Smurk is one of many nicknames associated with rapper Lil Durk. Fans also know the artist under the names Durkio, Durk and Smurkio.
The billboard’s location of Chicago relates to the rappers home town as Lil Durk, whose real name is Durk Derrick Banks grew up in Chicago, Illinois.
Following the announcement, Lil Durk has since shared a photo of the billboard announcing his feature on CLB in Chicago to his 11 million followers on Instagram.
Captioning the post, the rapper gushed about seeing his name or rather nickname in lights. He wrote: “Chicago goat status @champagnepapi.”
