It’s been five years since Kendrick Lamar released a studio album, and now the 34-year-old is back with a brand new offering, Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers. Lamar’s new album dropped on May 13th and features 18 songs and collaborations with artists including Sampha, Summer Walker, Kodak Black and Portishead’s Beth Gibbons.

Sam Dew features on Kendrick Lamar’s 2022 album
Kendrick Lamar Duckworth was born in Compton in 1987 and at the age of 16, he released his first mixtape under the pseudonym K.Dot. Nowadays, Kendrick Lamar is a globally recognized artist who had huge success with songs Swimming Pools (Drank), Humble, Poetic Justice, B**ch, Don’t Kill My Vibe, King Kunta and more.
Over the course of his career, Kendrick has collaborated with many musicians including Drake, YG, Jhené Aiko and more.
In 2022, Chicago-born singer-songwriter Sam Dew features on a song called Savior as well as Lamar’s cousin Baby Keem.

Sam Dew is 35 years old. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and not only has talent in singing but he’s also recognised for his songwriting skills, too.
The Savior singer wrote the hook on Wale’s LoveHate Thing on his 2013 album The Gifted, he also wrote Lotus Flower Bomb which is performed by Wale and Miguel.
As well as Wale, Sam Dew has written for some other huge names in the industry including Rihanna, Mary J Blige, Jessie Ware and he’s co-written for Taylor Swift.
In 2021, Dew released his debut album, Moonlit Fools. He collaborated with singer KIRBY on GONE.
