Rapper Rod Wave made the news this week as he caused concern among fans after he released and deleted a song titled Nirvana.
At the time, the rapper was also reported to have deleted his Instagram and Twitter, however, he has since reactivated his Instagram as he assured fans he was okay and safe.
As reported by Hot New Hip Hop, the track discussed topics of mental health and alluded to taking his life. In the lyrics, he also mentioned his “kids”, with some now curious to know how many kids Rod Wave has.

Who is Rod Wave?
Rod Wave born 27 August 1999 in St Petersburg, Florida, is a rapper and singer who broke into the mainstream following the release of his 2016 track Heartbreak Hotel.
Another of his songs, Heart On Ice, achieved viral status in 2019, and in the same year, he dropped his album Ghetto Gospel which debuted at number 10 on the Billboard 200.
His two following albums, Pray 4 Love and SoulFly, also made the top ten, with Pray 4 Love peaking at number 2 while SoulFly debuted at number 1.

How many kids does Rod Wave have?
Rod Wave is a father of two to twin daughters who he and his partner welcomed in the summer of last year.
The rapper prefers to keep both his partner and his daughters away from the spotlight, although he previously mentioned them while appearing on The Breakfast Club in April.
Talking on the radio show, he opened up on how becoming a father to twins has changed his day to day life. He explained: “I’m so used to like being able to go last minute like I’d jump on a plane and go anywhere, but that s**t made me not want to go nowhere but go home.”

Rod Wave’s family life explored
The rapper is also guarded when it comes to his family life, however, he has previously referenced them and childhood within his music.
As per his biography on All Music, it was Rod Wave’s family who first helped the young artist with his start in music. Both his father and brother were said to have helped him start recording after his dad bought him a microphone while his brother gifted him an old computer.
His half brother is also reported to have inspired his love of music as he would help write songs with the rapper after school.
