Artist Mr Cooper has made the news this week as TMZ alleged he and fellow musician Drum’n Skillz were suing Drake and Chris Brown over their track I Love Your Dress. Following the news, some are curious to know more about Mr Cooper’s song I Love Your Dress and his career so far.

Who is Mr Cooper?

Mr Cooper, real name Braindon Cooper, is an entrepreneur and artist from Palm Beach, Florida.

Cooper will be familiar to some for his music career and tracks All I Want Is You, and I Love your Dress. Recently, the artist dropped a remix of his previous release, No Mercy, which featured Blaze Hunter, Shone and WhoIsNardo.

It seems Mr Cooper has also branched out into talent management. In a recent feature in 9th Wunder Magazine, Cooper said he had launched Signature Seriez Entertainment/Network, which had signed his business partner Blaze Hunter as well as WhoIsNardo and MarniBeenRaw.

Mr Cooper’s I Love Your Dress explored

According to recent reports, I Love Your Dress was released in 2016, although it seems to have been added to streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music, in January 2019.

The track was released alongside two other songs, No Mercy and All I Want Is You, which made up the artist’s EP Mr Cooper – My Life In Black & White.

In May of the same year, the artist dropped his debut music video for the track, which currently has more than 60,000 views. The music video was also released on Amazon Prime Video.

What else is the artist known for?

Away from his musical career, he has become known for his podcast series Convos With Mr Cooper, which launched in 2018.

The series initially saw Cooper discuss topics such as relationships, although the podcast has evolved to include a version on YouTube, which sees Cooper interview artists and other figures from the entertainment business.

Some well-known names to feature in the series include Christina Jones, IVY and Jevon White.
