News of Money Mitch’s death broke late in the evening of 23 July 2021, which was followed by tributes from fans and friends pouring out to social media.
The young Floridian rapper was reportedly shot and killed in his home state.
Friends and collaborators of Money Mitch’s have since confirmed that he has passed away.

Money Mitch’s death confirmed by friends
The family of Money Mitch, real name Mitchell Holmes, have not spoken of his untimely death, however friends have confirmed Mitch’s passing.
Fellow rapper Risk GG, who has collaborated with Money Mitch previously and is under the same manager, spoke of Mitch’s death.
On 23 July 2021, Risk shared a series of Instagram Stories and a post about Money Mitch. In his Stories, Risk wrote “I’ll never be the same again,” followed by “I love you Lil bro thank u for everything”

Money Mitch as a rising rapper
Mitch first emerged on the rap scene in 2016. His first hit was “813 Anthem,” which received 2,300 views on YouTube and Spotify.
Over the past year, the Floridian rapper has gone from strength to strength. In December 2020, Mitch released a track with Spotemgottem which has accrued nearing 200,000 views on YouTube.
Mitch also had a strong following on social media, having amassed over 15,000 followers on Instagram. His profile has been flooded with fans and friends commenting tributes.

In the past year alone, Money Mitch has released ten singles with accompanying music videos.
The young Floridian rapper was on a promising trajectory and many will be saddened by his premature death.
