Chicago rapper King Von, aka Dayvon Daquan Bennett, was murdered on 6 November outside a downtown Atlanta nightclub. But did King Von have any kids? Tributes pour in for Von’s family following his sudden and tragic passing.

Von’s death on 6 November

Born 6 November 1994, King Von was 26 years old at the time of his death. In the early hours of his birthday, Dayvon Daquan Bennett was involved in an altercation in Atlanta. Three men were shot – one of them was Bennett.

The fight broke out outside a downtown hookah lounge. Bennett had moved to Atlanta to further his hip-hop career and “avoid harassment” from the Chicago Police Department.

Bennett suffered gunshot wounds and died in a nearby hospital later that day. A 22-year-old Georgia man faces charges for the murder.

Now the dust has settled, many are wondering if King Von is survived by anyone. Did he leave any children behind? What about his family?

Did King Von have kids?

King Von leaves behind two young children. He was also the primary provider and caregiver for his immediate family, including sisters, brothers and mother.

The mother of one of King Von’s kids shared a photograph from his funeral.

Fortunately, according to King Von’s former manager Truck, Bennett owned all his own masters. That means his children and family will continue to receive royalties from his music well into the future.

Fortunately, King Von was a shrewd businessman and had the foresight to keep the rights to all his songs.

In an interview with DJ @akademiks, Truck said: “As a team, our number-one focus is to make sure his immediate family is taken care of.

“His mom. You know, his sisters, his brothers. Von had two kids… just making sure they got a trust. Trust funds. Whatever income.”

Tributes have poured in via Twitter. Some users are even encouraging fellow fans to “run up” King Von’s songs “for them babies”:
