Heavy metal band Ice Nine Kills announced on Twitter they were releasing their new track, Rainy Day, yesterday (Wednesday, 8 September).
At the time, the band shared a teaser for the song’s music video as they revealed it would be released today (9 September).
However, after the announcement, some fans on Reddit claimed the song had already been leaked and shared their thoughts on the new track.
The song and video have now been officially released. Ice Nine Kills made the announcement on Instagram today (Thursday, 9 September):

Will Rainy Day feature on The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood?
Following the release of the Rainy Day music video, fans wondered whether the single would be part of the band’s upcoming album The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood.
Ice Nine Kills revealed they would release a sequel to 2018 album The Silver Scream in July. While sharing the album artwork on Instagram, the band announced the album would drop on 15 October 2021.
The tracklist for the album, which includes Rainy Day, was released last month (August) with fans on Reddit sharing their theories behind each song’s theme:
Ice Nine Kills confirmed Rainy Day’s feature, which is inspired by the Resident Evil franchise, today (9 September) in a promotional film for their video which read: “From the new album The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood.”
