As El Alfa and Nicky Jam publicly ‘beef’ on Instagram, many fans are curious as to what their drama is about. Some fans have even speculated that the beef is a marketing stunt, as the two musicians have collaborated in the past.
What did Nicky Jam say about El Alfa?
On Tuesday, 25 May 2021 Nicky Jam took to Instagram to call out Dominican Dembow artist El Alfa.
In a series of Instagram Stories, Nicky Jam says, “What’s up, Alfa? […] Did you forget some things? […] I can refresh your memory pretty quickly.” (Instagram Story translated from Spanish to English)

Is the Nicky Jam and El Alfa beef a ‘marketing’ strategy?
One Twitter user wondered if the beef was “all for a track comin’ soon”.
Another user wrote: “Esos es marketing, por que si no fuera así alofoke estuviera pidiéndole a Nicky que lo perdone. no promocionándolo para que aquel que no lo sabia lo sepa”. This suggests that it is a marketing strategy, as if it was not, Alofoke would be asking Nicky to forgive him.
Neither Nicky Jam nor El Alfa have provided any more details on their beef.

The thinking behind Nicky Jam and El Alfa’s Instagram beef being a marketing technique is based in the fact the two have previously collaborated.
Their last musical collaboration occurred in 2017 with the release of Nicky Jam’s album, Fénix, on a track called Nobody Like You. The pair have collaborated numerous times on the likes of Nadie Como, A Correr Los Lakers (Remix), and Segueta (Remix).
