Texan dreampop band Cigarettes After Sex have added a roster of new US and Canada dates to their 2022 tour, including concerts in Los Angeles, Dallas and Washington, but general onsale – and even presale – tickets aren’t available yet.

For some of the band’s new tour dates, punters will be able to purchase tickets via local presales. However, not all of Cigarettes After Sex’s upcoming shows include them.

The band have been on tour since 2 June, when they played at Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Spain. They will continue to tour well into October, plus a single November date.

Here’s everything you need to know about where and when to catch Cigarettes After Sex in 2022, including info on upcoming tour dates, ticket prices, presales (if applicable), and a brand new limited edition vinyl release.

When do presale and general onsale tickets become available for the 2022 Cigarettes After Sex US tour dates?

For the group’s standalone US tour dates – not including festivals – general onsale tickets will be available to buy online from 10 am EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) on 24 June 2022.

That’s this Friday.

This applies to shows in the US in September and October.

Some of the upcoming Cigarettes After Sex 2022 tour dates feature local presales. For example, for the band’s 12 September show at Showbox SoDo in Seattle, a local presale will begin at 10 am EDT on 23 June 2022. That’s Thursday.

Both Ticketmaster and AXS are vending tickets, depending on the date and venue.

They’re playing at various venues in UAE, Israel, Georgia, Turkey, Italy, Belgium, Poland and France during the months of June and July.

Then, from 3 July 2022 until 12 September, they will be taking a break from touring.

On 12 September, Cigarettes After Sex will play their first US tour date of 2022, for which tickets will become available to buy online on Friday.

The band’s American tour will then take in the following cities, in this order: Seattle (WA), Vancouver (BC), Portland (OR), Oakland (CA), Los Angeles (CA), Denver (CO), Austin (TX), Dallas (TX), Atlanta (GA), Washington (DC), Philadelphia (PA), New York (NY), Boston (MA), Montreal (QC), Toronto (ON), Chicago (IL) and Minneapolis (MN).

Of course, seeing them play at a festival rather than at a standalone concert will likely cost much more. For example, to see them at Corona Capital in Mexico City in November, you’ll have to pay around $200 (for phase 1 tickets).

The last major tour Cigarettes After Sex embarked on was in 2019, from May to November.

Cigarettes After Sex unveil new special fifth-anniversary white and clear vinyl

The group tweeted Wednesday that they are “truly thrilled” to announce “special fifth-anniversary white and clear editions” of their first studio album, the eponymous Cigarettes After Sex.

It originally came out on 9 June 2017.

“ME WANT”, wrote one fan on Twitter. Another commented, “That clear one, oh my God”.

However, both versions already appear to have sold out. Whether or not the band intend to release more of the limited edition vinyls remains unclear.
