This week Big Time Rush confirmed they would perform alongside each other once more as the band revealed they would be going on tour this summer.
As well as announcing their reunion tour, the band also revealed the opening act who will join them at their shows.
Now fans are curious to know more about Big Time Rush’s opening act for the tour as the choice seem to have taken some by surprise.

TikToker Dixie D’Amelio will join Big Time Rush on 2022 tour
Former Nickelodeon band Big Time Rush took to social media this week to announce they’ll be touring once again.
The band are set to take the stage this summer, with the tour kicking off in Washington DC on 23 June. They will perform 41 shows across the US before their final date in August in Concord, California.
In the announcement, Big Time Rush also confirmed TikToker turned singer Dixie D’Amelio will join them on tour as special guest.
You may be familiar with Dixie for her rise to fame on TikTok alongside sister Charli. Dixie, who is known for her lipsyncing and dance-style posts, has 57 million followers on the video-sharing platform.
Taking to TikTok on Friday (26 February), the band shared a video with Dixie to promote their upcoming tour, with the TikToker sharing a follow-up post expressing her excitement:

A look at Dixie D’Amelio’s music career
While she is famous for her presence on TikTok, Dixie D’Amelio released debut single Be Happy in 2020, which Billboard reports received more than three million streams in the first week of its release.
She has since released a number of singles, with her latest track, The Real Thing, having dropped in October 2021.
J-14 reports Dixie’s singles are leading to an album as the young star is currently working on the project.
