Twenty One Pilots: Artopia – is it back? A video posted on the band’s website to release their new single also included a reference to an art show they held in 2017. So, is it coming back? Let’s investigate.
Twenty One Pilots new single Shy Away
So, before we get into whether or not Twenty One Pilots’ Artopia art show is making a return, let’s check out their new single Shy Away.
The single comes ahead of their new album, Scaled And Icy, which is due to be released on 21 May.
The band’s frontman, Tyler Joseph, has explained that this new album is “more colourful” than previous releases.
What is Twenty One Pilots Artopia and is it coming back?
But what is artopia, and is it set to make a comeback? If so, when?
At the heart of it, artopia is a way for Twenty One Pilots to display fan art inspired by their music in one place.
It was hosted by the band in 2017 as part of their Tour De Columbus.
The art show was free to attend – fans just had to reserve a spot.
Yesterday, Twenty One Pilots’ website was updated to announce a livestreaming event that would be taking place to celebrate the release of their new album on 21May.
They said this event is something they could’ve never done before and have told fans to think of their website as the line outside the venue.
In describing the event in the video posted to their website, they say it’ll include: “New songs. New vibe. Artopia.”
So, this seems to suggest the iconic art show will be making a return on 21 May!
