Now, if we’re talking about the cast of The Mummy, we need to begin with the Hollywood icon Brendan Fraser.

Brendan played the lead role in well-acclaimed films such as Bedazzled, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Inkheart, and of course other films in the franchise. The star took part in all three movies, including the most recent being The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor in 2008.

Despite leaving fans swooning after his role in George of the Jungle, Brendan eventually took a break away from the spotlight in the 2010s. However, the actor came back in 2021 for No Sudden Move.

His 2022 film The Whale saw an unbelievable change in his appearance, where he played the role of a 600-lb man wanting to reconnect with his teenage daughter. A mixture of gaining weight and a lot of prosthetics and make up helped Brendan transform into the role.

Most recently, the 53-year-old appeared in the drama Killers of the Flower Moon starring alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro. Brendan will also be interpreting a role of a villain for the upcoming Batgirl film in 2022 as well as Brothers in 2023. Critics have said it’s the start of his ‘comeback’ into Hollywood.

Rachel Weisz (Evelyn O’Connell)

Rick’s love interest, the beautiful Rachel, also saw a lot of success in real life. The British actress has been awarded several prestigious gongs such as an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, and a BAFTA Award, amongst others.

Appearing in The Mummy Returns, the sequel, Rachel also went on to star in About a Boy, Constantine, and The Constant Gardener, where she won her first Oscar for the category of Best Supporting Actress. However, she didn’t reprise her part for the final movie in the franchise, with Maria Bello, another actor, instead taking on her role.

Most recently, she was in the 2021 Black Widow flick.

The actress will appear in the upcoming TV adaptation of the 80s version of Dead Ringers. It currently doesn’t have a release date.

Arnold Vosloo (High Priest Imhotep)

Coming back from death, the high priest Imhotep was at the center of the action-filled plot for The Mummy’s first two movies. The actor, Arnold, had a lot of projects lined up outside of Egypt. His most popular projects outside the franchise include GI Joe – both The Rise of Cobra and Retaliation.

Patricia Velásquez (Anck Su Namun)

Following her success as Anck Su Namun and Imhotep’s love interest, fans saw her character come back from the dead. Velásquez herself has had a quite successful career which didn’t need reviving.

At the age of 51, the Venezuelan actress has seen a lot of success by working in the Hollywood film industry as well as in Latino films. She has had also small roles in CSI: Miami, The L Word, Hawaii Five-O, and Ugly Betty.
