23 years ago, movie fans embarked on a new Egyptian adventure with the likes of Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz and the rest of The Mummy Cast. Now, more than two decades later, what happened after the fictional curses and haunting events?
The film premiered back in May 1999., becoming a box office hit after earning a total of $410 million. Many members of The Mummy cast went on to participate in successful films, securing their role in Hollywood.
Though the original movie was released on September 25, 1959, its adaptation saw huge popularity 40 years later. Where is the cast of The Mummy now?
Brendan Fraser (Rick O’Connell)
Now, if we’re talking about the cast of The Mummy, we need to begin with the Hollywood icon Brendan Fraser.

Despite leaving fans swooning after his role in George of the Jungle, Brendan eventually took a break away from the spotlight in the 2010s. However, the actor came back in 2021 for No Sudden Move.
His 2022 film The Whale saw an unbelievable change in his appearance, where he played the role of a 600-lb man wanting to reconnect with his teenage daughter. A mixture of gaining weight and a lot of prosthetics and make up helped Brendan transform into the role.
Most recently, the 53-year-old appeared in the drama Killers of the Flower Moon starring alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro. Brendan will also be interpreting a role of a villain for the upcoming Batgirl film in 2022 as well as Brothers in 2023. Critics have said it’s the start of his ‘comeback’ into Hollywood.
