It’s been more than two decades since Morticia and Gomez Addams’ antics captivated viewers. 31 years later, The Addams Family has returned with a new series on Netflix called Wednesday, as we meet the gothic relatives once again. But where is the cast of The Addams Family film now?
Released in 1991, The Addams Family focuses on the story of how a con artist and his son, try to swindle the clan’s fortune. They take advantage of Uncle Fester’s 25-year absence whilst on a mission to steal the cash by pretending to be Gomez’s long-lost brother
The family’s fortune is now at stake. However, as the ‘Fester’ imposter attempts to blend in to find out where the money is stashed, he stumbles upon whether he’s always belonged to them after all.

Anjelica Huston (Morticia Addams)
Anjelica Huston did much more than just play Morticia Addams, she embraced her. The matriarch of The Addams Family is an icon, at the least.
Now 71, Anjelica has gone on to star in movies like The Witches, The Royal Tenenbaums, and John Wick.
The actress is a three-time nominated Oscar winner. Anjelica also received nominations at the Primetime Emmy Awards, BAFTAs, and SAGAs. In 2005, she won her first Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Iron Jawed Angels.
Anjelica has not only been on the big screen but also in television shows. From 2012 to 2013, she played the role of Eileen Rand for the musical drama series, Smash.
Her most recent projects include the 2020 movie Waiting for Anya featuring Stranger Things’ actor Noah Schnapp, as well as narrating a comedy-drama film, The French Dispatch, in 2021.
She is currently filming for Ballerina, an action-thriller film, where she will be playing the role of the director.
Christina Ricci (Wednesday Addams)
Christina Ricci was only 11 when she played the role of Wednesday Addams. Now 42, the iconic Addams Family cast member has gone on to appear in films such as Penelope, and most recently, The Matrix Resurrections.
Growing up as a child star, Ricci opened up on how the toxic entertainment industry affected her body image, writes Yahoo. As a young teen she battled Anorexia, and spoke about the eating disorder on The Talk in 2017.
She later admitted she was glad to not be ‘very Hollywood’ and learning to accept herself.
“It took a while for me to be comfortable with who I was,” she said. “To realize everyone might not get my sense of humor; everyone might not like me. You know what, I’m not going to change who I am. I’ve tried. It doesn’t work.”
Ricci had roles in Patty Jenkins’ Monster and Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow alongside Hollywood actor Johnny Depp.
From 2011 to 2012, she starred in the ABC series Pan Am, where she met her husband James Heerdegen. However, the couple divorced in 2020.
Christina now plays the role of Marilyn Thornhill in Netflix’s Wednesday, much to the delight of fans.
Raúl Julia (Gomez Addams)
Raúl Julia interpreted the role of Gomez Addams – the patriarch who was head over heels for his ghotic wife.
A year after the sequel Addams Family Values was released, the actor died at the age of 54. Raúl was secretly battling stomach cancer three years prior and had undergone surgery.
In October 1994, the actor was hospitalized after suffering from intense abdominal pain and suffered a stroke. The Puerto Rican was put on life support when he fell into a coma, but tragically died days later.
His latest work was released a year after his death for the American drama television film, Down Came a Blackbird.
Christopher Lloyd (Gordon Craven/Fester Addams)
Before becoming Gordon Craven – who later found out he was in fact Fester Addams – Christoph Lloyd became well-known for his role as Doc Brown in the Back to the Future trilogy.
After The Addams Family, the actor continued in the movie business and participate in various projects, whether in films, series, or simply playing characters using his voice.
Christopher’s most recent works include the 2021 films Nobody, Senior Moment, Queen Bees, and The Tender Bar. In 2022, he became Alec Windsor in the supernatural horror film Spirit Halloween: The Movie.
Now 84 years old, it is rumored he will participate in the upcoming third season of the Star Wars show The Mandalorian.
Jimmy Workman (Pugsley Addams)
Fun fact, Jimmy never intended to audition for the role and was only accompanying his sister who auditioned for the role of Wednesday. But fate had it planned that he become Pugsley Addams.
Jimmy went on to interpret small roles in As Good As It Gets and Black Sheep. 30 years later, Jimmy retired from the filming industry and now works as a technical crew member.
According to Cosmopolitan, he lives in California with his family. His latest whereabouts include working for Teaters Local 399, a trade union representing working in the motion pictures industry.
Jimmy also has a sibling in Hollywood. His sister, Ariel Winter, best known for her role as Alex in the Modern Family series.
Carel Struycken (Lurch)
Can you believe Carel Struycken is 7ft (2.13 meters)?
Portraying the giant Lurch, Carel gained a lot of recognition due to his height. The 74-year-old was diagnosed with a disorder called acromegaly, which caused excessive growth in certain parts of his body.
After his successful role as Lurch, he played Fidel in The Witches of Eastwick and also became Mr Homn in Star Trek: The Next Generation.
His latest projects include an appearance at the 2017 Twin Peaks: The Return as a fireman, as well as the films, Gerald’s Game and Doctor Sleep in 2019.
The actor is an avid gardener and photographer, currently living in Los Angeles with his wife and two children. He specializes in spherical panoramas.
Judith Malina/Carol Kane (Grandmother)
Judith Malina played the oldest member of The Addams Family. The actress did not return for the sequel. Carol Kane replaced her after she found the role “very demanding”.
Malima appeared in films like When In Roome and The Deli. The German actress sadly passed away in 2015 at the age of 88. Reports revealed she suffered from lung disease caused by years of smoking.
The second actress cast in the role, Kane is now 70. She previously appeared on the television show, Taxi with Christopher Lloyd. Kane is also an Oscar-nominated actress for her works in Annie Hall and The Princess Bride.
