The trailer also features Bradley Cooper, Sean Penn, Benny Safdie, and PTA’s wife Maya Rudolph.
Apparently the cast of Licorice Pizza also includes Ben Stiller, John C Reilly and Christopher Walken, although none of their names appear in the trailer or on the poster.
What has Tom Waits been up to?
A singer-songwriter, composer and actor, Waits has a distinctive voice – described by critic Daniel Durchholz as sounding “like it was soaked in a vat of bourbon, left hanging in the smokehouse for a few months and then taken outside and run over with a car”.
The 71-year-old, who launched his career in the Seventies, released his latest album, Bad As Me, in 2011.
Throughout his career, Waits has frequently appeared in movies and TV.
Most recently he appeared as Waller in The Old Man & The Gun, Prospector in The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs, and Hermit Bob in The Dead Don’t Die.
He is also the narrator on Ultra City Smiths.
