This new instalment in the franchise is set to pay closer homage to the original games, with many favourite characters appearing on our screens. We introduce you to Avan Jogia who is playing Leon Kennedy in the new film.
What is Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City about?
Welcome To Raccoon City is set in 1998 and centres around the Raccoon City Destruction Incident. While we don’t want to spoil too much, we can say that the film is a survival horror, and follows a group of survivors in Raccoon City who must make it through the night in the wasteland of the dying town.
Director Johannes Roberts has said that he wants this origin movie to be a more faithful adaptation of the original Resident Evil games, complete with all their suspense and horror elements.
The new film is set for release in cinemas on 24 November 2021.
