Who plays Amber Freeman in Scream 5?
Scream 5’s Amber Freeman is portrayed by rising star Mikey Madison. The actress landed her first on-screen role in 2015 in Liza Liza: Skies Are Grey, after featuring in a number of short films.
Madison is one of five children but is the only actor in her family with the actress having previously revealed it was her brother in law, who is a writer, who inspired her love of acting.
While chatting to Interview Magazine in 2017, she explained: “My sister married a writer, so I think that’s what sparked my interest in acting.”

If you’re a fan of the comedy-drama Better Things, you may recognise Mikey Madison for her breakthrough role as Max, the eldest daughter in the Fox family. The series first aired in 2016, and as per Variety, will come to an end this year as the fifth season debuts.
Away from her recurring role on Better Things, Madison also featured in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time… In Hollywood, with the actress having previously admitted she was a fan of the director’s work growing up in a 2020 interview with V Magazine.
As per her IMDB, she is also set to appear in an upcoming film, All Souls, alongside rapper G Easy, which is currently in post-production. The young star told Nylon in 2017 she has big plans which don’t stop at acting as she admitted she wants to “travel and see the world” as well as “open businesses and write and meet new people and just be happy!”
