World’s shortest woman Jyoti Amge celebrates 30th birthday in style
The worlds shortest woman, Jyoti Amge, recently turned 30 and a video of the occasion has gone viral on social media.
She is from Nagpur, India, and was presented with the record-breaking title more than a decade ago by Guinness World Records.
Worlds shortest woman turns 30
Jyoti Kishanji Amge, who was born in 1993, celebrated her 30th birthday on December 16 and celebrated in style.
She visited the Guinness World Record office, where a designated area has been set up just for the occasion.
There were big gold balloons shaped in a three and zero, a bright pink cake and a huge bunch of fresh red roses.
She visited with her whole family and wore a bright blue dress covered in jewels for the momentous event.
“I will be enjoying it a lot, having some fun as well as playing games,” she said when asked how she would be spending it.

Amge was born with a genetic disorder called primordial dwarfism, which delays growth at the earliest stages of development.
She was officially declared the worlds shortest woman by Guinness World Records in 2011 at a height of 62.8 centimetres (2 ft 3/4 in).
After appearing in a number of TV shows including the Indian version of Big Brother, Bigg Boss, she was cast in the fourth season of American Horror Story.
The young woman played a character called Ma Petite in Freak Show and appeared in 12 different episodes of the drama series.
Woman meets other record breakers
In 2012, Amge met the worlds shortest man, Chandra Bahadur Dangi from Nepal, and they posed together for Guinness World Records.
The experience made her happy as she realised there are other people in the world just like her. He is just 54.6 cm tall (21.5 in).
“When I met the shortest man in the world and got to know him, I felt very happy,” she said. “I felt more included and more satisfied that there is somebody like me too.”
Amge also travelled to Egypt to meet the worlds tallest living man in 2018, Sultan K�sen, who is 251 cm tall (8 ft 2.8 in).
