‘World’s hardest riddle’ has the answer hidden within the question but it’s ‘tricky’ to spot

What good is a riddle if it can’t tease your brain? However, most internet users miserably fail in their attempts to crack a viral riddle that surfaces now and then.

Just like the ‘shortest IQ test’ that most couldn’t figure the answer out for, the riddle we have for you is easy but “tricky” to decode. Do you think you can answer it?

‘World’s hardest riddle’ breaks the internet

The riddle in question breaks the internet each time the users circulate it in the quest for the right answer. It comes with the wild claim that “97 percent of Harvard graduates couldn’t solve” the said riddle which “87 percent of kindergarteners could”. But there isn’t a credible source to back it up.

Despite uncertainty about its origin, it’s gathered hundreds and millions of views, likes, and comments. Now it’s your turn to figure it out. It goes as:

“I turn polar bears white, and I will make you cry.
I make guys have to pee, and girls have to comb their hair.
I make celebrities look like normal people and normal people look like celebrities.
I turn your pancakes brown, and I make your champagne bubble.
If you squeeze me, I’ll pop. If you’ll look at me, you’ll pop.
Can you guess the riddle?”

Comments under the riddle across social media are filled with intriguing responses. “Pressure” is one of the most common guesses, followed by “water” and “time”, as users tried to justify the role of each factor in turning a polar bear white or making a guy pee.

But none of the most well-thought-out responses were correct and only some of them, presumably aware of the riddle, could give the correct answer.

Most users got the answer wrong

Let’s clarify that none of the clues in the riddle make any sense and the question in the end is what demands to be solved. The rest of the statements defy logic.

The majority of the riddle is a distraction from the final line, which is the actual question and the answer to it is – No. Only some users could think of the right answer – “No, I can’t guess the riddle.” Tricky much?

One user commented: “Its ‘I dont know’ because Harvard students tried to figure it out but the kindergarteners just said ‘I dont know.'”

“So the answer is ‘No’. They asked the riddle followed by the question ‘Can you solve it?’ Kindergartners simply said no because they couldnt answer,” said another.

“A kindergartner would say I don’t know, a Harvard student would make an attempt at an answer. The answer is I don’t know,” read a third comment.
